Interview with Midwest Avenue from Rock Star Magazine- Jan. 21st, 2004.

RSM: How is this band different from other family bands?

MA: Most family bands are put together by a father or grandfather of the family, or they just figured they were family and to start a band, on the other hand, with us. We are more less 4 good friends that like to play music, sure we are family, but we are just 4 guys that share the passion to play music.

RSM: What is your favorite song you have written that will be on the upcoming CD?

MA: I think when I speak for the best song, I speak for the other 3 guys as well, the favorite of the band is probably without a doubt Unique. Its got a cool groove, its our longest song, but its hard to get board of, it puts me in a trance, just feels like Im lost when I hear it.

RSM: Who does the majority of the song writing in the band?

MA: Right now its Josh and I (Scott). I would like for the other to get involved too, but they contribute to the musical arrangement so it all adds up.

RSM: In your songs, is there a personal meaning or is it more universal?

MA: Every song is written about a person, situation, everyone of them has a story, weve been through stuff that inspires us, and its always the same page. Every song is meant for someone to listen to and relate to, they can make what they want of the songs, which is what we want, but to us it might be a different story.

RSM: How would you explain the style of music you play?

MA: Well weve been asked this before, Jeff calls what we play stuff, I call it Originative, cause its all original, its like a big genre. New Rock/Soft Rock/ Alt. Rock/a little bit of Reggae. Its easy listening, hard to hate, Its more relaxing, and its rock and roll at the same time.

RSM: For the last question, Wed like to ask, Do you think you will be able to continue the songwriting process, and write good material like you have been in the last 2 years, for the next 10 years?

MA: Of course, without a doubt, inspiration never leaves us, as long as life is in my body, my mind and soul, me and along with the other 3 will be creating great music.

RSM: Thanks for your time, we enjoyed the interview.

MA: It was great to even be thought of to be interviewed, thank you.
