Midwest Avenue BIO
Midwest Avenue started out as just two members, with a different name, which was Standing Alone. Scott
Joseph Phares and Josh Lee Phares, two guitars and two vocalists. Writing songs and playing a few small acoustic gigs. Scott,
Josh, and Scott J.s dad Scott R. Phares would get together every now and then and play, then Joshs dad Jeff would join in
on the jam sessions.
Coming into November of 2003 the North Greene High School choir instructor Mrs. Cathy Brockman
asked Scott J. Phares if him and the band would like to perform at the concert, she always talked about the potential of the
group, and wanted to get us some exposure. Then the practice began with the line up of Scott J. Phares, Josh Phares, Jeff
Phares, and Scott R. Phares. They then made theyre debut on December 7th.
After that the next step was to pursue a CD, so taking that thought they went to Everett Bugg, which
had a home recording studio to cut the demo CD. With the genre they played hasnt been specified, some say, its New Rock, Alt.
Rock, just one word to describe it Originative style music.
